Our maths focus this week has been on time. We have been ordering the events of our day, learning how to tell the time (o’clock and half past) and practising the days of the week and months of the year.

Chalkhill have some top tips to tell the time:

’When it’s o’clock the long hand is on the 12, if the short hand is on 5 then it’s 5 o’clock’

’You know it is half past when the long hand is pointing straight down’

’If the little hand is in between the numbers it is half past’
