Thanks so much to all of the parents who were able to join us in the classroom, the children loved showing everyone around our room and sharing some activities with you.
The children have loved our PE lessons over the last few weeks. We have played the bean game, the traffic light game and talked about warming up and cooling down our bodies. Ask the children to show you what we have been doing!
Apologies that the practice video for last week’s sounds is a bit late – you can find the link below 🙂
It’s the last few days of school before the October break so there will be no new sounds this week, we will resume with new sounds when we return in November.
We’ve been practising letter formation and using the sounds we have learned to segment words.
This is how we do it:
This week we have been learning about the number two – as well as writing the numeral, playing games and singing songs we have been noticing two all around us! Can you see:
two conkers and two cucumbers?
two tigers?
two treats on a tray?
See how many more ’twos’ you can spot at home or on the way to school… 🙂
Welcome!! We are so happy with how well the children have settled into Chalkhill class. They are having a great time exploring the classroom and outside area during busy bee time and making new friends They are already so good during lunchtime and have been fantastic starting phonics and learning their sounds. Please check back here regularly for photos, updates and ideas. We would love you to look with your child and send us a comment, we love to see that you are enjoying our blog posts!
